Thom Sigel - 
Head Varsity Coach 
   Coach Sigel enters his 19th season as Rock Island coach. During his eighteen years at Rocky, he has helped guide teams to nine Western Big 6 titles, 11 Regional Championships, two Sectional Championships, and in 2011 the Rocks went 30-3 in claiming the IHSA Class 3A State Championship.
   He came to Rocky after a six year stint at Rock Falls, leaving as the all-time winningest coach in school history with a 127-52 record. During those six years, the Rockets won four straight Sectional titles with an Elite 8 berth in 2000 and won the Class A State Championship in 1999.
  In the spring of 2017 he was inducted into the IBCA Hall of Fame. Coach Sigel was a 1985 graduate of Rock Falls and then continued his playing career at Knox College, majoring in English. Coach Sigel then spent six years as an assistant coach at Galesburg before leaving for Rock Falls. He completed his Master’s degree from Western Illinois University and is currently employed as a Guidance Counselor at RIHS.
 He and his wife Alicia have three children, Trey (24), Haley (22), and Colton (17).

Damon Colvin
 - Assistant Varsity Coach
   Coach Colvin is in his 19th year as a basketball coach at Rocky. He was instrumental in introducing the freshmen to our high school basketball program and developing them for the future as the head freshman coach. He is his first year as varsity assistant after assisting at the sophomore level for 13 years. He has also been an instrumental part of one freshmen conference championship and 10 sophomore conference championships in the last thirteen years.
   He has coached in the YMCA league, RIMBA, and at Horace Mann Choice School. He has also been very active coaching baseball for Little League, Rock Island Red Sox, and RIHS. Coach Colvin is a 1994 graduate of Rocky and received his Bachelor Degree in Management from the University of Phoenix.
 Coach Colvin is the Branch Manager at CBI Bank & Trust in Davenport, IA and is an Ordained Minister at the Second Baptist Church in Rock Island.  He and his wife Chantill have one daughter, Chanel (15).

Marquis Rodgers - Assistant Varsity Coach Coach Rodgers enters his first year in the Rock Island program. He is a 2005 graduate of Rock Island High School where he played basketball. He continued his career at Greenville & Benedictine University where he eventually joined Head Coach Keith Bunkenburg's coaching staff. He graduated from Benedictine University in 2001.
 Coach Rodgers has coached the Future Rocks 8th grade feeder program the last two years and is excited about joining the high school staff. He is employed as a US Academic Business Development Manager for CompTIA, in Downers Grove, IL and resides in Rock Island.

Chad Baker
 - Head Sophomore Coach
 Coach Baker begins his sixteenth year on the Rock Island staff. He spent his first two years as the sophomore assistant before moving to the head sophomore position 13 years ago. He has been a part of ten WB6 sophomore champions during his tenure.
   Coach Baker brings twenty five years of coaching experience to this position. He got his start at his alma mater, Moline, coaching in the MBA and junior high, then continuing on to the high school at the freshman and sophomore levels. After five years at Moline, he moved to Rockridge for two years. He then went to Orion with former Rocky coach Dennis Weiss as a freshmen coach and varsity assistant.
   Coach Baker is a 1993 graduate of Moline where he played for legendary coach Jerry Leggett. After Moline, he attended Black Hawk College and started his coaching career. He is currently employed as the Work Comp Administrator at The Sedona Group’s corporate headquarters in Moline.  He and his wife Tracey were married in September, 2010. He has one son, Braeden (15), and a step-daughter, Kiely (24)   

Tony Johnson
 - Assistant Sophomore Coach
   Coach Johnson begins his ninth year in the Rock Island program. He is a 2000 graduate of Moline High School where he played basketball. He continued his career at Black Hawk College, but his career was cut short due to injury. He then graduated from Northern Illinois University in 2005.
   Coach Johnson has coached with MBA, John Deere Middle School, UTHS, and the last eight years at Rocky. He is extremely excited about his time at Rock Island and currently employed at Teletrac.  He and his wife, Alyssa, were married in May of 2019.

Paris Dothard
 - Assistant Sophomore Coach
  Coach Dothard enters his first year in the Rock Island program. He is a 2007 graduate of Rock Island High School. He attended Lincoln College before enlisting in the U.S. Army where he received an Honorable Discharge after 6 years of active duty service. Coach Dothard has had two stints with the Future Rocks feeder program, the most recent being the past two years. He is very excited to join the high school staff. He is currently employed as an Aerospace Assembly Technician at Cobham Mission Systems in Davenport, IA. He and his wife Ashley have three children, Howard (8), Heavyn (5), and Jaiden (2).   

Keith Beck 
- Head Freshmen Coach
   Coach Beck is in his thirteenth year with the Rock Island Rocks. He is thrilled to be a part of the Rock Island Program. After serving as an assistant at the sophomore and freshman levels, he is now in his 8th year as the head coach of the freshmen team.
   Coach Beck graduated from Moline High School in 2001 and St. Ambrose University in 2006. He is currently employed at First American State Bank as the Controller of the bank. He and his wife Amanda have five children - Olivia (13), Ava and Alex (10), Emeila (7), and Oliver (4).

Bill Skelton - Assistant Freshmen Coach   Coach Skelton is in his third year at the high school staff after serving as the 8th grade coach at Edison for five years. In addition, he also coached different levels of Future Rocks teams for a number of years. Coach Skelton graduated from Lincoln High School in 1991 and is now completing his Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. He is currently employed at Handicapped Development Center in Davenport. He has 2 daughters, Lydia(21) and Emily(18).
