The Rock Island High School Athletic Department is proud to announce that Rock Island High School student Kai Rios is furthering his sports career at the D1 university level and signed a National Letter of Intent.
Kai plays three sports at Rock Island High School, football, basketball, and baseball. Kai signed a Letter of Intent to play football at Indiana State University. A special ceremony was held on Thursday, December 16 in the fieldhouse.
Head football coach Ben Hammer says Kai is a leader on the team, "Kai helped lead the Rocks to three consecutive winning seasons from 2019-2021 for the first time since 2008-2010."
