The Girls' softball team are Super Sectional Champions! This is the furthest a Rock Island High School Softball Team has gone in the State Tournament! Please help us send our Lady Rocks Softball Team off to the state championship in style by meeting at Circle Drive at noon on Thursday June 7 to give them a good luck sendoff!
On Sunday, June 10th, there will be a welcome home celebration with a parade! The team will start the parade at 11:30 a.m. at Frances Willard diamonds (25th Avenue between 9th and 11th streets) and will move up 25th Avenue to the stadium. We are asking people to line along 25th Avenue and then follow the team up to the stadium.
At 12:00 p.m. there will be an awards presentation at the stadium. The Rock Island-Milan Booster club will be providing hot dogs and water.
The team plays a semi-final game on Friday, June 8th, at 3:00 p.m., EastSide Center, East Peoria, Illinois. On Saturday, June 9, the Lady Rocks will play either 5:30 p.m. for state championship or 3:00 p.m. for third place.
